Healthy First Foods

“In a young child’s world food is not just something to eat but also something to enjoy. They are far from understanding the concept that we have to eat to live, to them food is a new word, another new taste, texture, smell and colour”.

Embrace this notion and encourage food to be fun, interesting and exciting too.

A child's diet in the first few years are of vital importance, as this is the crucial time when the foundations for future good health are laid. Food and nutrients are the building blocks which help to form strong teeth and bones, muscles and healthy tissues. A good diet can also help to protect against illness. As well as the immediate positives of a healthy diet there are the long term effects as well, for example; if your child develops good healthy eating habits early on they will continue to eat this way.

Enjoying a healthy nutritious diet is vital for everyone, in particular growing children.
I want to convey the fact that you do not need to be a chef, it does not have to be difficult, time consuming or expensive to ensure your child has the best diet. Therefore anyone can quickly and easily create yummy healthy and nutritious meals for their children.
